Boston Busing (1 janv. 1974 – 1 janv. 1988)
Description:
In Boston, Massachusetts, 1974, District Judge Arthur Garrity ordered the busing of African American students to predominantly white, geographically isolated schools, and vice versa. This resulted in wide-spread violence in opposition to Garrity's decision. Many whites began dropping out of the cities newly-integrated public schools and enrolled in private schools in the suburbs instead.
