Description:
The Black Panther Party was an African American revolutionary party founded in Oakland, California by Huey Newton and Bobby Seale in order to protect blacks from police brutality by patrolling black neighborhoods. They eventually developed into a Marxist revolutionary group that called for the arming of all blacks and the payment of compensation from whites.
