French Revolution (5 mai 1789 – 9 nov 1799)

Description:

The French Revolution is when the people of France overthrew the monarchy of France and turned it into a Republic. Frances' involvement in the United States Revolutionary war left them with little money. Taxes were raised and as history shows people do not like that. The darkest period of the Revolution was the Reign of Terror. Laws were passed that said anyone suspected of treasons could be killed. Many people died during this time. Napoleon overthrew the revolutionary government and established himself as consul. This ended the French Revolution.
