Renaissance (1 janv. 1490 – 1 janv. 1527)
Description:
The renaissance was a time of rebirth and enlightenment in Europe after the middle ages. It started in Italy and spread to France, and eventually through eastern and northern Europe. During the middle ages, few improvements were made to science, literature, and art. However, during the 14th century, a movement called Humanism became popular in Europe. Humanism was the idea that man is important, and his achievements in science, literature, art, and education should therefore be celebrated. This was the beginning of the renaissance and in 1450, the invention of the press allowed for these ideas to be spread more quickly. During the renaissance, men like Leonardo Da Vinci, Galileo and others made great contributions to art and science that are still used today.
