European Middle Ages (1 janv. 400 – 1 janv. 1500)
Description:
The Middle Ages began with the fall of the Roman Empire. It ended with its merging into the Renaissance and Age of Discovery. It is divided into three sections: Early, High and Late Middle Ages. The early middle ages is when Rome fell and its empire (specially the western) began to divide into separate countries and develop new cultures and ways of governing. The high middle ages is more of the what is considered medieval (with Knights and Castles) and is the period when the Renaissance began to take place. The late middle ages is when the black death swept through Europe and is also a period when there was much intellectual and Technological (military) advancement as well as exploration. The third period is also when the Byzantine empire (last remnant of the Roman empire) finally fell. Through all ages there was huge amounts of advancement in all areas of life which really changed the known world from the beginning to the end of this period.
