While the First Industrial Revolution gave rise to industries like coal, railroads, iron, and textiles, the Second Industrial Revolution brought the expansion of electricity, petroleum, oil, and steel. It is also known as the Technological Revolution. It was a period of growth for pre-existing and brand new industries.
