Description:
Jehoahaz, son of Josiah and Hamutal (daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah) (II Kings 23:31) [NOT THE SAME AS the eleventh King of the northern kingdom of Israel] becomes the peoples' choice as king (2 Chronicles 36:1), but remains such for only a measly 3 months before being deposed and exiled to Egypt by Pharaoh Neco. His reign was from about Tammuz to Tishri of 609 BC.
His birth name was Shallum, the youngest son of Josiah King of Judah. (1 Chronicles 3:15)
