Description:

The french revolution was a time of social and political disruption among the french colonies. The revolution overthrew the monarchy and established a republic. The American Revolution helped set the stage for the events of the French Revolution. There were many violent periods of political turmoil. The revolution ended when Napoleon Bonaparte took power.
