World War I (28 juill. 1914 – 11 nov 1918)

Description:

World War I started on the 28th of July, 1914 by Gavrilo Princip assassinating Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria. The Central Powers (Germany, Austria-Hungary, Bulgaria and the Ottoman Empire) fought against the Allied Powers (Great Britain, France, Russia, Italy, Romania, Japan and the United States). On the 11th of November, 1918, the Central Powers surrendered and the Allied Powers signed the Treaty of Versailles and ending the war. In this war, 8.5 million soldiers died of battle wounds or diseases.
