Socrates (1 janv. 470 av. J.-C. – 31 déc. 399 av. J.-C.)
Description:
Credited as being the father of western philosophy, and the very first moral philosopher. He referred to 'god' rather than 'the gods' and attempted to establish an ethical system based on human reason rather than theological doctrine. Lastly, he also pointed out that human choice was motivated by the desire for happiness.
"One thing only I know, and that is that I know nothing."
