BRONZE AGE Sumer (22 déc. 4500 av. J.-C. – 22 janv. 1940 av. J.-C.)
Description:
As the Neolithic revolution spread across the Fertile Crescent to Southern Mesopotamia, the first true civilization, Sumer, developed around various city-states between the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers. The Sumerians were non-Semitic speakers unlike the other societies of the region, and eventually developed cuneiform script. Metallurgy began with copper and lead, eventually transitioning to bronze.
