Description:

Under the rule of King Cyrus, known as Cyrus the Great, Persia was able to overthrow the Babylonian civilization, much to their surprise. His first act as their leader was to free all whom had been held in captivity by the Babylonians. Cyrus also aspired to take over Egypt as well, but he did not live long enough to do so. His son, Cambyses, was able to achieve his fathers goal.
