Mass Prisons Era (1 janv. 1825 – 1 nov 1876)
Description:
This Era took an approach that lessened solitary confinement and focused more on rehabilitation. Prisoners worked side by side throughout the day and were placed in cells at night. This system was called the "Auburn System" which enforced complete silence from inmates.
