Rule of Herod Agrippa I (1 janv. 41 – 1 janv. 44)

Description:

'King' of Judea, but under Roman rule. Was said to be sympathetic to the Jews in the area, so was supportive of their 'disciplining' of the early Christians (still seen as an off-shoot of Judaism).

Christians were generally seen as 'disturbers of the peace' for their new set of beliefs
