The Battle of Midway (4 juin 1942 – 7 juin 1942)

Description:

This battle/event states that Japan had attacked the US fleet at the Midway Island. The outcome was that all of the Japanese carriers and over 235 planes were destroyed. Due to code-breakers figuring out the Japanese naval code, the US Navy was able to launch a surprise attack on the Japanese fleet (larger one in the area). Thus, making this the most important battle in the Pacific, and one of America's most important naval victories of World War 2.
