1. Stories about his travels in Asia were published as a book called The Description of the World.
2. He moved to China with his dad and uncle, unable to recruit 100 priests. Stayed for 23 years.
3. After returning to Venice, he commanded a ship in a war against Genoa
4. He was eventually captured and taken to prison
5. The book made Marco Polo a celebrity
