Description:
Son of David, Solomon was the fourth king of Israel who was appointed in 967 BC. He is known of building the first temple of Jerusalem and also known for his wise words. He killed his father's enemies and anyone who was considered a threat. He was very wealthy and strengthened his kingdom through marital alliances. Solomon died in Jerusalem after 40 years as ruler of Israel and his son Rehoboam inherited the kingdom.
