Description:

The Timiskaming Professional Hockey league was founded in 1906 was a league founded in Northern Ontario by the wealthy mine owners. This league paid its players which made it a professional league, this league served as a basis for gambling for the wealthy mine owners. This league is most notable for Ambrose O’Brien, he was a team owner who would go on to form the NHA and found the Montreal Canadiens, a team which is still playing today.
