Description:
During this time, synagogues began to be made as places of worship, growing in importance now that the temple was destroyed. It also marked the beginning of scholarly analysis of scriptures from rabbis, interpreting the Bible for the common people.
People began to develop a belief in a divine kingship, known as the Messiah, who hoped for a king to lead them out of oppression.
