German Appeasement (1 sept. 1939 – 6 oct. 1939)
Description:
Appeasement encouraged Germany to attack, essentially leading to WWII. As Hitler continued to invade territories and build a military capable of fighting a major war, despite the Treaty of Versailles, Britain and France allowed him to continue in hoping he would leave them alone if they left him alone. Of course, Hitler's aggression only increased with these freedoms, eventually becoming so bold he went straight to Poland, starting WWII.
