Weimar Republic (9 nov 1918 – 9 nov 1933)
Description:
this was Germany's government from 1919 to 1933 which was the period after WWI until the rise of Nazi Germany. It was named after the town of Weimar where Germany's new government was formed after Keiser Wilhelm. The most significant cause of why the Weimar Republic failed was because of the beginning of the Great Depression. The economic crisis had devastating effects on Germany in 1929. They wanted Weimar Republic to be formed as a representative democracy because they thought that this would be a way of having control over Germany
