The anarchy era began on the 30th of April, 2018, kicked off by the creation of the "Anarchy realm." The main difference from the early era was the atmosphere in the server, which seemed to have a large shift with the creation of the realm. Most members who just talked in general on occasion didn't take part, whilst some played on the realm daily. This lead to a shift in the community growing slightly closer, and disconnecting from the non participants.
The anarchy era saw the birth of the first Pure BBG members who were not associated with any former group such as IRL or GSM, With panda joining the Preserver on the 31st of May 2019, arguably creating an even larger atmospheric change, as Panda went on to invite Tato, and Blook also invited Syther some time later. The anarchy era is not only characterised with the anarchy realm, but also the "Survival with Benefits" Style of realm, which had a concept world ran for a few days, which The new arrivals as well as hugo participated in.
The anarchy era can be mainly defined as the Beginning of some aspects of server culture, such as the closeness and reinforced that realms are a great way to engage the community and have fun. General was still vastly alien to what it is today, getting maybe 700 messages on a very active day. After a solid three months of fun, the anarchy realm was shut down, and the members began discussing the Blook's BattleGrounds project, kicking off what would become the Battlegrounds Era.
