The Weimar Republic was founded on February 6, 1919, and came to an end in 1933. The Weimar Republic was Germany's Government until Nazi Germany.CAUSES & EFFECTS
CAUSE 1- Kaiser Wilhelm's abdication.
CAUSE 2- The republic was founded during a time of chaos and confusion.
EFFECT 1- A depression in Germany. When the Wall Street Crash occurred (Oct. 1929). It caused a global economic depression, the U.S. banks called in all foreign loans on short notice. Weimar Germany had used these loans to fund the German industry, among other things. Without the loans, the industry fell and threw Germany into the beginnings of a depression.
