First Opium War (1 janv. 1839 – 1 janv. 1842)
Description:
The first opium, also known as the arrow war, war consisted of two major conflicts fought in China. The war was fought between Britain and China and begun in 1839 and ended in 1842. The war was was fought as a result of Britian wanting to continue using opium for trade, as opposed to gold/money. The opium wars caused a period of unfair treaties that eventually destroyed the Quin sovereignty.
