---The American Federation of Labor was for skilled workers and was a loose grouping of smaller craft unions. The Industrial Workers of the World was also a group to organize workers to be paid better with fewer hours and to have better working conditions.
---The Knights of Labor were a labor reform group who wanted to organize workers into one big group instead of a smaller union based on workers with similar skills
---The Homestead Strike was an Industrial strike to protest the wage cut from Carnegie Steel Company in 1892
---The Haymarket Square Riot started as a peaceful rally in support of the 8-hour workday that drastically changed when someone threw a bomb at the police. As a result of this 8 people died
---The Pullman Strike in 1894 was a railroad strike in response to wage reductions and was also a turning point in the making of US Labor Laws.
