Beer Hall Putsch (1 janv. 1959 – 1 janv. 1959)

Description:

From November 8 to November 9, 1923, Adolf Hitler and his followers staged the Beer Hall Putsch in Munich, a failed takeover of the government in Bavaria, a state in southern Germany. Hitler had headed the Nazi Party since 1921, a young political group that advocated German nationalism and anti-Semitism and was unhappy with the terms of The Treaty of Versailles. The Putsch in the Beer Hall had several significant consequences. Next, it led to a rift between Hitler and Ludendorff; after the police had ignited shooting, the general considered Hitler a coward for sneaking away. Second, Hitler concluded that, in Weimar Germany, armed revolution was not the way to gain power.
