Description:
The Qing dynasty was characterized by strong, effective rulers, such as Emperor Kangxi. Kangxi was a very intellectual man, frequently reading books and composing poems, studying Confuscian texts and applying them in his rule, and also improving infrastructure throughout the nation. He also greatly expanded the Qing dynasty, conquering lands reaching nearly to the Caspian Sea, and also establishing multiple vassal states.
