Description:
As Greece and Persia expanded, the two sides began to fight over territory. The result was a war that lasted half a century. Athens and Sparta formed an alliance to fight Persia. After their defeat at the Battle of Thermopylae, Athens formed the Delian League with many other Poleis to defeat Persia.
