Description:
As Greece and Persia expanded, the two sides began to fight over territory. The result was a war that lasted half a century. Athens and Sparta formed an alliance to fight Persia. After their defeat at the Battle of Thermopylae, Athens formed the Delian League with many other Poleis to defeat Persia. Greece defeated Persia, and it marked the beginning of Persian Decline.
