Punched cards-data storage (1 janv. 1804 – 1 janv. 1804)
Description:
A card punched with holes in a certain places that a computer can read data coded from the combination of holes.
It was first used by Joseph Jacquard to automate his weaving factory.
While punched cards are now obsolete as a storage medium, as of 2012, some voting machines still use punched cards to record votes.
