Interaction - Marco Polo started traveling at age 17, with his dad and uncle, who were merchants. Because of Marco Polo's ability to tell stories, the great khan allowed Marco to perform his mercenary tasks in China, and sent him to many diplomatic travels. He started to head back to Venice after 17 years in China, and arrived in Venice in 1295.
