Description:

1919: Studied zoology, philosophy, and psychology at the University of Zürich and in Paris.
1932-1936: Piaget mentored notable psychologist Barbel Inhelder.
1936: He introduced his major contribution to psychology with the theory of cognitive development. Which explains how a child constructs a mental model of the world. This contribution entailed a stage theory of child cognitive development, detailed observational studies of cognition in children, and a series of simple but ingenious tests to reveal different cognitive abilities.
1966: A major book he published was The Psychology of the Child.
