Description:
Julius Caesar becomes one of Rome’s greatest leaders, conquers Gaul (now called France) and returns to Rome with many slaves. In 45 BC, Caesar becomes the sole ruler of the empire but a year later, he is murdered by a close friend named Brutus.
Octavian, heir to Julius Caesar, takes the name “Augustus” and become the first Emperor of Rome. He rules well and brings peace to his empire, called the Pax Romana. He is the Caesar Augustus referred to in the book of Luke, and the month of August was named in his honor.
