Easter Rising (24 avr. 1916 – 29 avr. 1916)

Description:

This was an armed insurrection in Dublin launched by Irish republicans who wanted to end British rule in Ireland. It was organised by seven people in a Military Council and was the first armed action to take place during the Irish revolutionary period. 485 people, 260 of whom were civilians, were killed and the rebels were forced to surrender. Most of the leaders were executed.
