Babylonian Exile (1 janv. 586 av. J.-C. – 1 janv. 538 av. J.-C.)
Description:
Babylonian invaders captured Judah (the southern kingdom of Jerusalem) and destroyed Solomon's Temple. Along with that, 10 000 Jewish leaders were exiled in Babylon until Cyrus the Great of Persia defeated the Babylonians and released them. At this time, the Jewish religion evolved from a tribal faith to a world faith, changing Hebrews and Israelites to Jews and Judaism.
