Description:
The Cultural Revolution was Mao's attempt to rebound and restore China after the catastrophe that was the Great Leap Forward. The purpose was to erase traditional capatilist and Chinese values completly. The substitute was "Maoism" a false belief essentially claiming Mao as an untouchable figure. Schools were closed, propaganda widespread, and anyone who disagreed with these ideals were dealt with, swiftly.
