Over 40,000 Canadian troops served in the Afghanistan war. There were 158 Canadians dead, and over 1800 wounded. Canada's main contribution to the war effort was the maintenance in Afghanistan of an Army battle group of approximately 2,000 infantry soldiers, along with at different times, armoured vehicles, tanks, artillery and other support units such as a field hospital in Kandahar.Ajouté au bande de temps:
