Itunes Ping was a social networking feature within Itunes where users could add friends, follow artists, and look up local concerts. Similar to the functions in Spotify. Ping included a feature that allowed listeners to access a 90 second preview of a song, however, this became redundent instead of enhancing the Itunes experience.
