Description:
Josiah's son Eliakim takes the throne when his brother, Jehoahaz, is captured by Neco. Nero then changes his name to Jehoiakim. In 604 Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon took Judah from Egypt, and Jehoiakim became a Babylonian Vassal. In 601, Jehoiakim was goaded into a rebellion by the promised support of Egypt but it never came.
