Genghis Khan was the one who started the Mongol triumph. He united the Mongol tribes under one power and used the skills of his people to conquer ruthlessly until his death in 1227. He took over most of Asia and even Persia as well as Russia. He conquered much of Asia and after his death his sons split the land. Key Concept 3.1 and 3.2
