Marco Polo took his trip to China as a merchant. When he arrived, he spent 17 years in China. He spent much of this time in the Court of the Khan. He wrote back to Europe about his journey and his time in China. His accounts of Mongolian China are some of the most reliable of the time. He was a great traveler and helped show the world what was taking place. Key concept 3.1
