The French Revolution (5 mai 1789 – 9 nov 1799)
Description:
The French Revolution spawned out of a deep seeded frustration of the people of France with the ruling monarchy and his elitist followers. Much like the American Revolution this revolution was influenced by economic needs such as the people being taxed more so than the ruling elite and social needs that spawned from the Enlightenment and the American Revolution. The French Revolution continued the legacy of the American Revolution through its declared rights of man and republican style constitution. It would change from the norms with its extreme egalitarian stages and its extreme authoritarian stages as well.
