Description:
From 1942 to 1945, Robert Oppenheimer undertook what was the most important task of his career; the Manhattan project. Beginning as the Coordinator of Rapid Rupture for the project, he was eventually appointed by Leslie Groves to the position of director of the Los Alamos Laboratory in New Mexico. As the director, he led the people there to success in building the first atomic weapon, winning the war for the Allied Forces.
