Outbreak of the Bubonic Plague in Florence (1 janv. 1348 – 1 janv. 1349)
Description:
The Plague devastated the countryside more than urban areas. However, many people still died in cities. Serfs and peasants migrated to cities in order to fill vacant job positions. Almost a third of the population of Florence died.
