Even though Serbia was trying to distance themselves from the tragic event happened a few days ago, since it was not the government who tried to murder, but the Austro-Hungarian empire wanted to revenge Serbia. They wanted to declare war on Serbia with Germany's help, even if it meant the war with Russia.
