Persecution in under Septimus Severus (1 janv. 202 – 1 janv. 203)
Description:
Emperor Septimus Severus outlawed conversion to Judaism or Christianity, in hopes of religiously unifying the empire of Rome. This led to sporadic and localized persecutions towards Christians in the areas of Rome, Corinth and Alexandria. The famous story of Perpetua the martyr is said to have occurred during this time.
