Neronian Persecution (1 janv. 64 – 1 janv. 68)
Description:
A great fire broke out in the city of Rome in the year 64 AD. Rumors started to fly that Nero himself had started it, so Nero shifted the blame onto the Christians. To substantiate his claim, he started a localized persecution of believers in the city of Rome. Christians were put to death by the sword, by wild animals, and by burning alive.
