Description:

Decline: Rising prices of goods were good for farmers and exporters, but inflation caused huge trouble on the purchasing power of many families. Such as people on fixed incomes or those who did not benefit from the competition for skilled workers. Women living at home on the fixed salaries of soldier-husbands overseas often struggled a lot of for living standard and raising their children. Men had to work as hard as they could to raise the whole family, so most of the time they could no make it home early.
