Trench Warfare -2 (16 sept. 1914 – 21 mars 1918)
Description:
Decline: During WWI, battles were usually fought by two armies on a battlefield. The condition inside the trenches is very muddy and wet, many soldiers did not have a chance to get their feet dry, so they got a disease called the "trench feet" which their feet rotted. Also a tiny cut can make a soldier die because of the infection in the condition. Shellshock became a major problem during WWI and many soldiers were sent home while others had to continue fighting inside the trench and experienced all the gun fires. Trench warfare caused a lot of casualties during WWI and it was one of the most tragic battles.
