Description:

The Chinese Abacus can also be called a suanpan. It was first described in a 190 CE book of the Eastern Han Dynasty, namely Supplementary Notes on the Art of Figures written by Xu Yue. The abacus was invented in China, around 1300 BC. It was popularized during the Ming dynasty (1368 AD to 1644 AD). It has 5 beads on the bottom and 2 beads at the top.
