1335, 1339 - an agreement with Czechs was reached in Wysehrad
1339 - promised the Polish throne to Hungarian heirs if the Piast dynasty ends up with no male heir.
1343 - unsatisfying peace with TO in Kalisz

Introduced many legal reforms that strengthened the kingdom, cared for economic development of the country.
increased military power, including the introduction of artillery.

Built a lot of fortifications and castles around Poland and encouraged the formation of new cities with city walls.

"Found Poland made of wood, left it made of stone (brick)".
